Couldn’t imagine a better quote to describe such a true statement. There is nothing that can break a day more than 1) bad hair 2) bad attitude and 3) bad clothes.

I am 100% one of those girls that sits in my closet that is stuffed with clothes and can’t seem to find a thing to wear. Ironically if you look in my closet you might almost assume I only own a few things because its all neutral colors (who am I kidding, mostly black) and all the exact same style.

My teenage self would cringe at me for saying this, but I can probably show up to dinner on most nights and have an identical outfit to my mom on. I like what I like, and most importantly, I like to be comfortable…that style also just happens to be a mini me of my mom’s style.

This weekend is Nordstrom’s Mid-Year sale, aka the best time to get all my favorite brands 50% off with FREE shipping and returns!

Because I have caviar wishes and a bank account that says I can only buy canned tuna, I try to be realistic about what I get without going overboard. Believe me, I could easily spend an entire paycheck on sweaters, new booties and jeans.

Nordstom’s Mid-Year Sale: Shoes

While I wish I could own everything in sight, I try to be realistic when it comes to shoes. I try to keep at least 2 pairs of booties, a few flats and a good pair of boots in my closet at all times.

While the Tory Flats may seem off in this sea of booties, if you know me, you know I love nothing more than to wear all black with cute Cheetah print flats to make my outfit come together. I kid you not when I say I have gone through at least 4 pairs of Tory’s Cheetah flats in the last 10 years, I can’t not have a pair in my closet!

While my style may be very “basic”, I love being able to pack for a weekend away without worrying about running out of outfit ideas. A few staple items make for easy mixing and matching to come up with different looks on the fly!
