Author laurel

  • 1 large granny smith apple
  • 1 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel bites
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp water
  • 10 candy eyes
  • 5 popsicle sticks

  1. Slice your apple into 4-5 long pieces. Pat the slices with a dry cloth to get all of the moisture off of the surface of the apple.

  2. Into a small bowl add the caramel bites. Add 2 tsp of water to the bowl and microwave caramel in 30 second intervals until completely melted.

  3. Using the popsicle sticks, insert the sticks into each apple.

  4. Place the apples onto wax paper. Carefully drizzle caramel onto each apple and allow to dry.

  5. When caramel is hardened, add 3/4 of your white chocolate chips to a bowl with coconut oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals until chocolate is melted.

  6. Either carefully dip apples into chocolate or using a spoon scoop chocolate onto apples to completely cover.

  7. Allow to dry completely. (Try to let dry naturally but you can dry in refrigerator if needed). When white chocolate is dry, place 2 candy eyes on each apple.

  8. Heat/melt the remaining white chocolate in a bowl. Slowly drizzle lines across the apples to create the mummies "clothe".

  9. When apples are completely dried, serve & enjoy!
