Today me will live in the moment, unless its unpleasant in which case me will eat a cookie.
-Cookie Monster
I think by now it has been pretty well established that I am not a sweets person. My recipe archives would seem otherwise, but it is true.
While I may not want to eat every sweet in sight, I am well aware that chocolate is the worlds love language & I love to make my favorite people happy with food. So I bake whatever comes to mind & then hand it off to my friends so they can enjoy them.
Because my man & I both work jobs that where we do majority of our business at lunch time we rarely get to eat together during the work week. When we do catch the occasional day where neither of us have a lunch, we almost always go to Zoes. I love Mediterranean food & he loves their giant chocolate chip cookies. They are soft, chewy & the size of your face. What more could you want?
We haven’t been able to catch a lunch date in a while & he has been traveling so I decided to make his favorite Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookies at home instead.
Browned butter, triple chocolate chip options & cookies bigger than your face…these cookies are every cookie lovers dream!
The clear key to a good Triple Chocolate Chip cookie is the CHOCOLATE! Why have one kind of chocolate when you can have THREE! The mix of chocolate chunks, mini milk morsels & dark chocolate help create the perfect combination of sweet & bitter in every bite.
BAKING TIP:
Don’t burn the butter! When it begins to bubble, give it an extra 30 seconds to truly brown and then pull it off the burner!
To make them MONSTER cookies you want to make sure you make the cookie dough balls about 2 tablespoons in size. They are big enough that when they cook they will be soft in the middle & crispy on the outside…aka the perfect cookie. We are going for large cookies, if you want them smaller go for a ball about the size of 1/2 tablespoon.
Look at all that Triple Chocolate goodness.
If you are a soft in the middle, crispy on the outside cookie eater, you will love these Triple Chocolate Chunk cookies! The browned butter adds a nutty taste to them & the triple chocolate component helps to keep the cookie chocolatey with every single bite.
Enjoy!
