Instead of doing cinnamon, nutmeg and all those baking spices I’ll have one spice thats for sweets, and that’s pumpkin spice.
Every Thursday this month I am creating a #trickortreatthursday. I will be sharing my favorite Halloween/Fall inspired treats that are easy to make & fun share. What better way to kick off our first Thursday than with a fall snack that is the perfect treat for friends, teachers & more!
Do you remember when I shared my S’Mores Trail Mix? It is one of my go to treats to bring to summer get togethers & parties because it is easy to make & tastes delicious. Well this Pumpkin Spice Trail Mix is the fall version of that treat & is even sweeter!
In 20 minutes with 6 ingredients you can create this trail mix crack that will have you reaching for it constantly to eat. It is seriously that good!
How to create this Pumpkin Spice Trail Mix:
You need coconut oil, pumpkin spice chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, marshmallows, pretzels & some form of graham crackers. (With the S’Mores Trail mix I used Golden Graham cereal, for this treat I used Teddy Graham’s).
Combine all of your ingredients, minus the white chocolate and coconut oil, on a baking sheet. Mix everything up so it is evenly divided among the pan.
Melt the white chocolate by microwaving the chips & coconut oil in 30 second intervals. Then spread it generously across your trail mix ingredients.
Allow the white chocolate to set in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
Finally break apart the hardened treat into large & small chunks.
You have two options when it comes to your final product. You can either:
- Add your trail mix to a large bowl, stash it from your family members & eat the pumpkin spice trail mix by yourself
- Or bag them up as gifts for school holiday parties, teachers gifts or halloween get togethers
However you decide to enjoy your pumpkin spice trail mix you will quickly find yourself making a new batch because it is ADDICTING!
- 2 cup marshmallows (candy corn)
- 2 cup graham cracker teddy grahams
- 1 1/2 cup pretzels
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup pumpkin spice chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
Using your hands mix the ingredients well.
Into a small bowl add white chocolate chips & coconut oil.
Microwave in 30 second intervals until melted. (it took me about 1 minute)
Stir the melted chocolate then sprinkle chocolate on top of trail mix.
Place trail mix in refrigerator until set (about 10 minutes).
When trail mix is hardened, break into large chunks. Serve & ENJOY!
