  • Boil the Water:
    Fill a large pot with 4 cups of water.
    Bring it to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
    Add 1 teaspoon of salt to enhance the pasta's flavor.
  • Add the Pasta:
    Once the water is boiling, add the ditalini pasta.
    Stir gently with a wooden spoon to prevent the pasta from sticking together.
  • Cook Until Al Dente:
    Refer to the cooking time on the pasta package (usually 8–10 minutes).
    Taste-test a piece 1 minute before the suggested time to check if it's al dente—firm but not hard.
  • Drain the Pasta:
    Turn off the heat once the pasta is cooked.
    Carefully drain the water using a colander.
    Avoid rinsing the pasta unless you’re using it for a salad.
  • Toss and Serve:
    If serving immediately, toss the hot pasta with olive oil or butter to prevent sticking and enhance its flavor.
    Serve as is, or incorporate into your favorite soups, salads, or sauces.
