Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup hot water 8 oz
  • 1 ½ oz whiskey, bourbon, or rum
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick optional
  • 1 slice of lemon for garnish
  • 1-2 cloves for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Heat the Water: In a small saucepan or kettle, heat water until it is hot but not boiling.
    Prepare the Mug: In a mug or heat-resistant glass, add the whiskey, honey, and fresh lemon juice.

  • Combine: Pour the hot water into the mug and stir well to dissolve the honey.
    Add Garnishes: Insert the cinnamon stick into the mug, and float the lemon slice on top. Optionally, stud the lemon slice with cloves for added aroma and flavor.
